Thanks for catching that. We will add it to the list. Proposed definition: (1) processing data for storage and retrieval; (2) computer science.

Would bio-informatics be a sub-class of informatics, by this definiton

Yes, bio-informatics would probably be a subset of informatics. The definition of informatics needs some more though, I think. Thanks again for your input, Matt.
